Community Library ID Card Policy
Introduction
Community Library ID (LID) cards area available to allow members of the community who need to use the library for research to access its collections and services.
Purchasing an LID Card:
Cost: $5.00 at the Circulation Desk (first floor).
Services: Grants access to various library services outlined below.
Computer Use, Printing, and Photocopying:
Computer Access: LID card allows log on to specific first-floor computers (excluding student labs). Users will need to change their initial password upon first login; reset via Technology Help Desk if needed.
Printing/Photocopying: Cardholders may add money to the card to use for printing at Value Card Center stations (5¢/page black and white, 20¢/page color, 5¢/page photocopying).
Circulation, Prospector, and Interlibrary Loan:
Checkout Limit: Up to 10 items at a time.
Prospector Service: Up to 70 items from other Prospector libraries.
Interlibrary Loan: Up to 10 active requests per month for items from other libraries.
Database Access:
On-Campus Only: Access subscription databases from on-campus locations. Off-campus access is not available.
General Information:
Lost Card: Notify library staff immediately if card is lost. The replacement cost is $5.00. Cardholders are able to transfer funds to the new card at Auxiliary Services (Room 212, Occhiato Student Center).
Card Limit: One card per user.
Family Access: Immediate family of University faculty, staff, and retirees receive an LID card at no charge.
Internet Filters: The library does not use Internet filters, though 海角禁区 System IT may use software that limits access to some sites deemed security risks.
Policies Governing Use of Technology: The 海角禁区 System’s , 海角禁区-Pueblo’s Information Technology policies, and the Library’s Computer & Internet Use Policy govern the use of the Library’s technology and digital resources.
