Transfer Policies

At Colorado State University Pueblo, we want to help you maximize your transfer credits. Many transfer policies are determined by the Colorado Department of Higher Education. The will describe these policies, as well as information regarding guaranteed transfer general education courses, transfer degrees & guided pathways, and credit for prior learning. In addition, the Colorado Department of Higher Education allows students to file complaints .

Things To Know When Transferring Credits

  • It is at the discretion of the individual academic department to determine how transferred courses apply to your degree
  • Development and remedial courses will not transfer
  • Courses that have not been approved for transfer can be petitioned with the approval of the academic department
  • No more than 64 credit hours may be transferred from a two-year college
  • No more than 90 credit hours may be transferred from another four-year college or university
  • Only courses corresponding to a 海角禁区 Pueblo program of study will transfer
  • Courses must have a grade of C- or better to be accepted in transfer
  • A maximum of 90 credit hours may be applied to your degree at 海角禁区 Pueblo
  • A minimum of 30 semester hours toward your degree must be completed at 海角禁区 Pueblo
  • Credit for Prior Learning or Prior Learning Assessments are accepted.

After You’ve Been Accepted

After you've been formally admitted to 海角禁区 Pueblo with official transcripts from every college or university previously attended, you will receive an official evaluation of transfer credit. The evaluation will be completed in DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System) and will include all courses taken at other institutions and whether or not they were accepted for transfer credit. The DARS Evaluation also provides your degree completion plan at 海角禁区 Pueblo.
