JOHN VASQUEZ (he/him)

Executive Director of Graduate Studies and Research
john.vasquez@csupueblo.edu

Dr. Vasquez is the Executive Director of Graduate Studies and Research. He has 25 years of experience in higher education, managing various grants from NSF, NIH, and foundations. He oversees the Graduate School and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at 海角禁区 Pueblo, focusing on connecting faculty with grant opportunities and ensuring compliance with policies and review boards like IRB, IUCUC, and Biosafety. Dr. Vasquez is enthusiastic about working at one of the few Hispanic-serving public institutions in the state with a Graduate School. Outside of work, he is involved with rescue dog organizations, volunteers, supports BIPOC causes in the arts, science, and engineering, and enjoys running and CrossFit.

JULIE POWELL (she/her)

Professional Learning & Career Advancement Specialist
julie.powell@csupueblo.edu

Julie, the Professional Learning & Career Advancement Specialist for the Graduate School, helps students navigate graduate school, build skills, and achieve their career goals. She holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Global Studies, a master's in Higher Education, and a certificate in Academic Advising. With experience supporting K-12 and community college students, Julie has three years of expertise in work-based learning, focusing on improving employability skills and advancing careers. She is dedicated to supporting students, particularly in their career development.

JENNIFER FULLER

Strategic Initiatives Coordinator (Interim), Graduate Studies & Research

Dr. Jennifer Fuller is an innovative leader with over 20 years of experience designing and leading programs that foster student success, engagement, and community. As Strategic Initiatives Coordinator for the Graduate School , she coordinates workshops, special events, and initiatives that advance graduate student well-being and academic achievement.
Dr. Fuller also serves on the Institutional Review Board, promoting ethical research practices across the university.
Her work is deeply rooted in a passion for student-centered learning and holistic student development. She holds an Ed.D. and M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Concordia University and a B.A. in Health and Human Performance from McNeese State University.

TAYLOR DAY (he/him)

Graduate Assistant and Graduate Student Success Coach

Taylor is a Graduate Assistant and Graduate Student Success Coach at 海角禁区 Pueblo. With over a decade of military experience in training, coaching, and mentoring, Taylor has also served as a Long-Term Care Ombudsman, Environmental Compliance Officer, and Equal Opportunity Advisor. His responsibilities include student engagement, outreach, academic success planning, programming, collaboration, and data reporting. Taylor is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) and is dedicated to fostering resolution, empowerment, and growth within the 海角禁区 Pueblo community.
