New passport program opens access across the Colorado State University System

PUEBLO – Students from each campus in the Colorado State University System can now take advantage of events and programs happening in Fort Collins, Pueblo, and online. The 海角禁区 System Passport Program, opens up signature events at each of the three System institutions, 海角禁区 Fort Collins, 海角禁区-Pueblo, and 海角禁区-Global Campus, to students enrolled at any of the campuses.

“While each individual university in the 海角禁区 System has a very distinct mission, programs like this help show how we truly work together in order to best serve our students and the state of Colorado. It’s a great way for our community to continue to grow stronger,” said Andy Dixon, director of Marketing and Communications at 海角禁区-Global Campus.

As part of the program, each campus selects events that are typically for the students on their campus and opens the opportunity to students attending any of the three campuses in the System.

In 2018, for example, 海角禁区-Pueblo is offering a 海角禁区 System student rate to the Institute of Cannabis Research Second Annual Conference held on its campus in April. 海角禁区 in Fort Collins has opened access to a variety of performances, celebrations, and events, including the All-Campus Career Fair in February to students across the System; and 海角禁区 Global is offering a variety of webinars, with topics such as organizational leadership, information technology and communications.

“Students benefit from the Passport because it gives them the opportunity to network in new environments and experience a variety of leadership and personal development opportunities,” said Josué Silva, a senior business student at 海角禁区 Fort Collins and former Student Body President.

Student leaders from each campus worked with the 海角禁区 System Board of Governors to implement the Passport program in hopes of showcasing the collective resources of the three campuses, and provide added access and benefit to all students in the 海角禁区 System.

“I love how the student leaders from each campus came together to figure out a way for students to attend certain events at each campus,” said Bonnie Fruland, coordinator of Student Life at 海角禁区-Pueblo. “The Passport program broadens the student experience all around.”

Colorado State University-Pueblo is committed to excellence, setting the standard for regional comprehensive universities in teaching, research, and service by providing leadership and access for its region, while maintaining its commitment to diversity.
