More than $1.8 Million in Foundation Scholarships Available

PUEBLO - New and returning students at Colorado State University - Pueblo are encouraged to apply for scholarship funding for the 2015-16 academic year through the 海角禁区-Pueblo Foundation online application process. The application process ends March 1, 2015.
The 海角禁区-Pueblo Foundation scholarship application provides students access to more than 800 scholarships totaling in excess of $1.8 million in private scholarship funds. The application may be found at within the and clicking on the 海角禁区-Pueblo Scholarship Application.
Foundation scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, educational interests, field of study, and financial need. Each scholarship has its own set of guidelines for the application and selection process. Students are encouraged to fill out the general scholarship application in its entirety to be eligible for all qualifying scholarships. Private scholarships awarded through the 海角禁区-Pueblo Foundation are in addition to merit scholarships automatically awarded by the University.
"海角禁区-Pueblo makes applying for private scholarships very user friendly," said Nick Potter, 海角禁区-Pueblo Foundation director of scholarships and donor relations. "Students need to complete only one application to qualify and apply for all scholarships offered through the 海角禁区-Pueblo Foundation. When seeking funding for your education, apply for as many scholarships as possible, complete federal/state student aid forms, and meet with a financial aid counselor. It is amazing what opportunities exist. "
A majority of the 海角禁区-Pueblo Foundation's $25 million, three-year "On the Move Campaign" has been earmarked for scholarships. Scholarships serve not only as financial assistance, but as recruitment tools to draw top students, as retention effort to keep high-performing students, and as acknowledgement that hard work is appreciated and recognized. Through an expanded scholarship program, the "On the Move Campaign" for 海角禁区-Pueblo will serve as an investment in the future of our state and world, allowing students to graduate in a shorter timeframe and enriching their lives with new cultures, experiences, and job opportunities.
