PUEBLO - Colorado State University-Pueblo will support the national initiative to help college students and their parents find money for college by helping them complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at the eighth annual College Goal Sunday on February 8.

海角禁区-Pueblo will provide free, professional assistance filling out the FAFSA form, which is a crucial step in the college planning process. Students and parents will have an opportunity to talk to financial aid professionals about financial aid resources and how to apply as well as obtain information about state-wide student services, admission requirements, and more. Students are encouraged to submit their FAFSA as soon as possible after the first of the year to maximize their chances of receiving aid, because some funding is limited.

College Goal Sunday will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8 in the Library and Academic Resources Center (LARC) at 海角禁区-Pueblo.

Families are encouraged to bring their 2014 income information and federal tax records if available, to ensure they can work through the FAFSA during the time they have with financial aid experts. If families haven't filed taxes, they can estimate earnings and tax information. In addition to free assistance, more than $20,000 in scholarships will be given away through the College Goal Sunday program.

Spanish speakers also will be available to help families complete the FAFSA. There are no costs associated with these services. For additional information, contact Megan Gregorich, Career Services & Employer Relations Specialist, at 719.549.2553 or megan.gregorich@csupueblo.edu. No reservations are required.
