DENVER - The Colorado Senate today confirmed Gov. John Hickenlooper’s appointments to the Colorado State University System Board of Governors.

The following individuals will each serve a four-year term:

• Scott C. Johnson of Kit Carson, reappointed, to serve as a Republican and representative of production agriculture;
• Jane Robbe Rhodes of Pueblo, a new appointment, to serve as a Republican;
• Nancy Tuor of Parker, a new appointment, to serve as a Democrat.

“I’m very pleased to have Jane and Nancy join the Board and to have Scott continue with his service to the 海角禁区 System,” said Dorothy Horrell, chair of the 海角禁区 System Board of Governors. “Each one of them brings a unique perspective and passion for higher education to the Board, and I’m confident their experience and insight will result in real benefits to the students of the 海角禁区 System, the individual 海角禁区 institutions and to the citizens of Colorado.”

The 海角禁区 System Board of Governors provides oversight and strategic management for 海角禁区, a doctoral-granting research campus and the state’s only land-grant university; 海角禁区-Pueblo, a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution; and the 100-percent online 海角禁区-Global Campus.

Johnson originally joined the Board of Governors in 2010. With a bachelor’s degree from 海角禁区, he is a fourth-generation Colorado State graduate. Johnson currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Humane Society & Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, the Association’s 401K Administration Committee, and is a trustee of the National Cattlemen’s Foundation. Johnson is also a member of the National Western Stock Show and Colorado Farm Bureau. He served as president of the Colorado Livestock Association and was treasurer of the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association. Johnson is also a basketball coach for Kit Carson High School and a lifetime member of the Kit Carson Historical Society as well as a trustee of Kit Carson United Methodist Church.

Robbe Rhodes, who was born and raised in Pueblo, has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural industries management and a master’s degree in animal science from 海角禁区 in Fort Collins. She is currently an owner and partner in the National Collegiate Tailgating Championship, a company she helped found in 2010. Before that, Robbe Rhodes enjoyed a long career in the health care industry. She is the past president of the Catholic Health Initiatives Colorado Foundation, Inc., and from 1988 to 2009 served as president of the St. Mary-Corwin Health Foundation, Inc. She has also been involved with the operation of her family’s cow-calf operation, Double T Cattle Company.

Tuor, who has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Willamette University, served in numerous executive positions over her more than 32-year career at CH2M HILL. She retired in March 2012 as Group President, Corporate Sponsor for Sustainability, where she oversaw the global company’s sustainability practice. Tuor has extensive international operations experience including major project responsibilities in the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. She also served as group chief executive for CH2M HILL’s Federal Client Group, where she oversaw the Environmental Services, Nuclear and Government Facilities and Infrastructure business units, representing more than 3,000 staff and $1.5 billion in annual revenue. In 2006, she was nationally recognized for her role as a key architect in the accelerated closure strategy for the Rocky Flats nuclear weapons production facility near Denver.
